As I near completion of the "Labor of Love"
that is the book on the Cottage Hotel of Mendon,
I am filled with a sense of immense gratitude
for all the people who have participated,
contributed, and supported my writing.
My heartfelt thanks to all of you!
It has been an amazing adventure that began
with having lunch with owner Hilary Stott
and her saying, "Why don't you write a history
of The Cottage Hotel?"
That was just a day short of 10 months ago!
That seems almost fantastical to me now.
But here it is, a first glimpse at the book
with covers designed by the talented Jim Edmon.
